According to a new media report, Jaguar is going to announce the official name of its 1000 bhp electric GT on May 12.
So far, the British brand’s electric concept has been known as the Type 00. Earlier, its codename was X900. But now, the EV will get its new production moniker.

The upcoming electric grand tourer is based on the Jaguar Electric Architecture. It will be used for the company’s all new-age EVs.
The Jaguar electric GT will come with 3 electric motors – 1 on the front axle and 2 on the rear. Together, they will produce 1000 bhp and 959 lb ft of torque. The EV will be fitted with a 120 kWh battery pack that will offer a range of over 400 miles.

Based on the reports, Jaguar will reveal the final version of the Type 00 in September this year. The customer deliveries are expected to begin in early 2027.
